My beautiful and silly friend Kamal showed me this photo of a cat and I was deeply inspired.
I turned this cat into a papercraft because he was too epic and silly
I love how this model came out, so extremely cute and pretty. Some of my friends say it is cursed. But there is a group of people who often think my cute art is also a little cursed. I however think this is BLESSED. So pretty wowo.
The papercraft model doesn't always stand perfectly on its own, although it can potentially be balanced fine. In the model photo I balanced the cat on a wallet like this:
In terms of difficulty, this is definitely a beginner friendly model. I was inspired by a banana cat model I recently saw online and appreciate how simple the shapes were in that
I adore this 3D model and the way the model stands and how you can change the expressions. So yummy and cute!
From a papercraft perspective however I feel like the layout of the cuts and flaps have some definite improvement, it's hard to close the model like that.

In this papercraft model, you start from the front of the face. these are the fun and easy parts designed to inspire confidence. You'll be well chuffed once you complete this gorgeous part first.
After this we work on the arms separately. These will join onto the face/body to give an easy join for the belly later on.
The backside was designed to be rather flat and undetailed. I was considering adding a tail and butthole like the cat model I made a papercraft for before, however I thought this would be funnier with an undefined backside, much like the original concept image itself.
